Intuition is often spoken about as something mysterious as if it’s a gift, a talent, or a special ability that some people have and others don’t.

In my experience, intuition is much simpler, and far more human, than that.

Intuition is not something we acquire.
It is something we return to.

Furthermore, when intuition is embodied – when it lives in the body rather than the mind – it becomes one of the most reliable guides we have.

What intuition really is (and what it isn’t)

Intuition is not a dramatic voice. It is not constant certainty. It’s also not the absence of fear.

True intuition is usually quiet, steady, and subtle.

It often shows up as:
• a sense of ease or unease
• a tightening or softening in the body
• a feeling of “this doesn’t sit right”
• a calm knowing that doesn’t need justification

Intuition doesn’t rush. It doesn’t argue. It rarely shouts.

I believe that’s why so many people miss it.

Why so many women stop trusting their intuition

Many women tell me, “I used to be intuitive, but I don’t trust myself anymore.”

In reality, intuition doesn’t disappear.
What happens instead is that we learn to override it. Sometimes we can think that it doesn’t make sense.

Sometimes this is because we have experienced some or all of the following: –
• being told not to be “too sensitive”
• learning to prioritise harmony over honesty
• deferring to authority figures
• being rewarded for compliance rather than truth
The problem with ignoring our intuition can show up in
• relationships where boundaries were crossed
• emotional or relational trauma
• long periods of self-doubt
• life transitions where certainty collapses
• people pleasing

Over time, the body still speaks, but the mind learns not to listen. The ego overrides the body.

Intuition lives in the body, not the mind

This is where embodied intuition becomes essential.

Intuition that stays in the mind can feel confusing:
• thoughts circle
• fear masquerades as guidance
• external opinions drown out inner truth

Embodied intuition is different.

It is felt rather than thought.

It might show up as:
• a quiet exhale
• a grounded sense of “no”
• a steady pull rather than a push
• a decision that feels calm, even if it’s difficult

When intuition is embodied, it is not overwhelming.
It is anchoring and grounding and real.

Embodied intuition vs fear

One of the most important distinctions to learn is the difference between intuition and fear.

Fear is urgent. Intuition is patient.

Fear tightens and contracts. Intuition feels spacious, even when firm.

Fear demands certainty. Intuition offers clarity without explanation.

This is why slowing down is so important.

When the nervous system is regulated, intuition becomes easier to recognise.

When the body feels safe, inner truth can surface.

Why embodiment matters in real life

Embodied intuition is not just a spiritual concept. It has practical consequences.

When intuition is embodied:
• decisions feel clearer
• boundaries feel more natural
• explanations become unnecessary
• self-trust grows quietly but steadily

You don’t become louder or more forceful. You become more rooted.

From that rooted place, life choices, even difficult ones, become easier to stand by.

Embodied intuition is not about adding a skill.
It’s about restoring a relationship with your body, your inner voice, and your own authority.

It’s about learning how to listen again, without pressure, without urgency, and without self-abandonment.

A gentle way to reconnect

If you want to begin reconnecting with embodied intuition, start simply:

Place one hand on your chest.
One on your stomach.
Take a slow breath.

Ask yourself a gentle question, not to get an answer, but to notice your body.

Pay attention to:
• ease or contraction
• warmth or tension
• a sense of yes, no, or not yet

No analysing.
No forcing.

This is how trust is rebuilt, one moment of listening at a time

Coming home to inner authority

Embodied intuition is not about perfection. You will still make mistakes. You will still feel unsure at times.

The joy is that when intuition is embodied, you no longer abandon yourself.

You learn to stand with yourself, even in uncertainty.
And that changes everything.

This is not a dramatic transformation. It is a quiet return.

A remembering.

A final reflection

If something in you softened as you read this, if your body responded before your mind, if you felt a quiet sense of recognition then that is intuition, already at work.

If you want to explore this more deeply and really learn how to trust your intuition in
everyday life, then I have created a program just for you. It starts on the 26th February 2026, and you can find more details and save your place here

It will be an honour to witness you returning to your inner wisdom.
